Stephanie Watters, Administrative Assistant

Steph was born in San Angelo, Texas and grew up in Hawaii where her father served in the US Military. She attended and finished high school in Centennial, Colorado. Her professional career started in the medical- administrative field shortly thereafter starting a very busy time in her life. After all, managing a family with 4 boys for 13 years is a full-time job! Her career resumed after this and since then has been consistently in the administrative field of orthopedics, predominantly physical therapy clinics. Steph is proud to work for Colorado Spine Therapy and enjoys the emphasis on healthcare and not health-business! She can be contacted at stephwcst@gmail.com.

Steph enjoys spending time with her husband, four boys and two grandchildren!


Veronika Lesiuk, PT, DPT, MSc

Veronika was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada where she completed her BSc in Exercise Science with a Specialization in Athletic Therapy from Concordia University. She then completed her Master of Science from McGill University. During her time in Athletic therapy she had the opportunity to work with athletes from recreational and Olympic women ice hockey, division 1 male and female rugby players, U17 and Collegiate men's and women's soccer and treating patients in an outpatient orthopedic sports clinic. Veronika taught at the university level for over 15 years and most recently worked as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Kinesiology Department at Boise State University. Veronika then pursued her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ and worked in the home health setting before joining Colorado Spine Therapy.

Veronika is a fan of the Montreal Canadiens NHL team and the Professional Women's Hockey League. She has played ice hockey for over 30 years. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, skiing, and playing hockey.


Dennis Halpin, DPT, Cert.MDT (McKenzie) LSVT

Dennis pursued his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at Misericordia University in Dallas, PA. After college he returned to his hometown in the Utica, NY area where he gained valuable experience treating people with various orthopedic and neurological conditions (Parkinson's Disease). He then moved to Seattle, WA where he enjoyed working with people in both conservative ( = non-operative) and post-operative treatment in an orthopedic-sports setting.

Dennis has a history of sports-related injuries that sidelined him time and again. At PT he was fortunate enough to see the close relationships fostered between patients and their therapists, and believes this is an integral part of the patient experience.

Dennis enjoys working in the orthopedic setting with various patients, alongside working on people's balance to improve safety and reduce their risk of falls.

His hobbies include playing / watching soccer (big Manchester United fan), hiking, biking, trail running, reading, playing with his cat, and going for walks with his girlfriend.


Alan M. Mazur PT, DPT, Certified Manual Therapist, ATC

Alan was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he played high school basketball, baseball, and became a huge fan of the (then hopeless) Pittsburgh Pirates.

He began his professional education in 2001 upon his acceptance into the Sports Medicine program at Marietta College, Ohio. During the summer of 2003, he served as an athletic training intern with the Pittsburgh Pirates where he assisted with injury rehabilitation of professional baseball players. After graduating with his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, he became a board-certified Athletic Trainer in 2005.

Alan returned home after college and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh in 2007. He then moved to Chicago, IL where he practiced for over 5 years at the leading orthopedic physical therapy provider in the Chicago area. During this time, he completed a 2-year program with the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) where he gained expertise with spinal and peripheral joint manipulation.

Alan moved to Denver in 2013 and have since been busy running, hiking, and enjoying the local music scene.

Alan is 6 feet, 5 inches tall.


Stefan JH van Duursen, PT, MSc, MTC, Cert.MDT, Exp., FAAOMPT

Mr. van Duursen graduated with a BSc in physiotherapy from the School for Higher Education in the Netherlands. He completed a certification in manual therapy at the University of St. Augustine in St. Augustine, Florida.

Following this certification, he completed a one year fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy and went on to receive his MSc in orthopedic physical therapy, again through University of St. Augustine in Florida.

In addition, Mr. van Duursen completed a certification in mechanical and diagnostic therapy ("the McKenzie method") through the International McKenzie Institute in New York, New York.

Mr. van Duursen is a member of the Royal Dutch Society of Physiotherapists, the American Physical Therapy Association (including its orthopedic section), the International McKenzie Institute, The North American Spine Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.

In his freetime Mr. van Duursen enjoys spending time with his children Hannah and Ian, reading, hiking and traveling.
